Yes, You can see I used the 70-200 f/4 on the old 20D. While I'm still jonesing for a full-frame 5DmkIII, the benefit of cropped sensors comes into play on shots like these, where the 1.6x crop of the smaller sensor effectively renders the 200mm as if it were a 320mm. This was handheld, IS on, at 1/45th of a sec at f/8. And I still cropped into the photo quite a bit so the whole frame wasn't black. As I know you have similar gear, I look forward to seeing your own attempt!
I love this photo. Did you take it with the 75 - 200mm lens?
